Ishita Bakshi
Ishita has a Masters in Biotechnology from the University of Queensland where her love for metabolism began. She studied muscle metabolism and muscle insulin resistance in animal models during her PhD under supervision of Prof Greg Cooney and Prof Nigel Turner. She has moved on to clinical research to understand the effectiveness of current diabetes treatment under the supervision of Dr Dorit Samocha-Bonet. The first line of treatment for Obesity and Diabetes is making dietary modifications along with exercise regimes. Today, Ishita will present data on metabolic effects of long term and frequent dieting.
