Ella Robinson
Ella Robinson is a Research Fellow at the Global Obesity Centre, a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Obesity Prevention at Deakin University in Melbourne. Her research focuses on policies for improving the healthiness of food environments. Ella has played a key role in prominent benchmarking and accountability projects led by Associate Professor Gary Sacks during her time at Deakin. These include ‘Inside our Food Companies’ which assessed major Australian food companies on their commitments related to nutrition and health, and the ‘Food Policy Index’ which rates Australian governments across a range of policy domains related to obesity and population nutrition. Ella’s research extends internationally, including in New Zealand, Canada, Malaysia and Vietnam, where she has supported local research teams to assess food company actions related to nutrition.
