Phillipa Hay
Professor Phillipa Hay is an internationally recognised disorder psychiatrist and academic, with widely published research in over 240 scientific papers. She is the foundation Chair of Mental Health at Western Sydney University, is Senior Consultant Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals, and Director of the Wesley Eating Disorders Centre at Wesley Hospital Ashfield, where she applies evidence-based programs to treat the full spectrum of eating disorders. She holds a DPhil in the epidemiology of Eating Disorders from Oxford University and MD in bone loss and anorexia nervosa from Otago University. In 2015 she received the Lifetime Leadership Award from the ANZ Academy for Eating Disorders and in 2013 she was elected Fellow of the Academy for Eating Disorders. She led the introduction of the first online journal in her respected research areas (Journal of Eating Disorders), and is its current Editor-in-Chief. Amongst other service, she is Chair of the Steering Committee for the National Collaboration for Eating Disorders and member of the Expert Advisory Committee, ICD-11 revision, World Health Organisation.
